Can you ozonate water with this unit?
No, you cannot. It plugs directly into the wall and is not set up with a way to attach a hose and ozonating stone. It also does not have an internal air pump. It only has a little fan.
Could it be used under 220v?
No. This model is only for 110v.
Bought one of these for litter box area. However, the instructions that came with the unit said not to use around pets or children. Is it good or bad?
Use in a low setting in a well ventilated area. If your cat is locked in the room with the ozone generator, do not use.
How many watts does it use?
The Mammoth Mini ion generator only utilizes as little as 4-7 Watts with a size of 5" x 4" x 3".
Is there a way to clean it?
Yes, the directions that come with it say to clean it with a cotton swap soaked in rubbing alcohol.
Would this help in eliminating the odor from a cat's litter box? And is it safe around pets?
Yes. We put one in our front bathroom. This room has our cat's litter box in it. The Ionic plug in made quite a difference. It completely took away the litter box smell. We don't let the litter box get too dirty. We scoop away the poop daily. The plug in left a faint ozone smell which to me smells like burnt dust. I wouldn't think it would affect your cats because you're not locking them in with only ozone air. This product doesn't cover up smells, it eliminates them.
Can I use it in kids bedrooms?
Ozone is natural and safe, the debate is how much ozone is too much. I'm not a doctor, but I've done a lot of research on this technology and I would say this should be safe in a kids bedroom. It doesn't emit that much ozone to be harmful and I can definitely smell more ozone outside (now that I know what it smells like, especially after rain/thunder) than this unit can put into a small room. This works best for "spot" cleaning air in particular places. Under the kitchen sink, next to shoe racks, diaper bin, in a closet, bathroom, put a smelly object in a shoe-box with this purifier, etc. I often plug mine in upside-down so the ozone emitter points up rather than down. I think this unit is rated for about 75 cubic feet.
That working voltage 110 or 230 volt?
Normal USA voltage is 120.
How loud is it?
It's pretty quiet. I use it by my bed at night. It doesn't disturb me. The noise it makes is very low key.
